For over 15 years, MSP Starch Products Inc. has been committed to making remarkable ingredients that exceed our customer’s expectations for product safety, quality, and delivery, while upholding the highest environmental and social standards.
Our mantra: Taking less and using more. Every little bit helps.
The story from potato to Solnul™ is a remarkable one
Beginning first in the potato manufacturing industry, the water used to cut potatoes becomes concentrated in starch. We then reclaim the aqueous leftovers from a third-party, food-grade manufacturer and bring it in-house as our raw material.
Through our proprietary process, the starch is removed from the water, gently dried and upcycled into Solnul™, preserving all the valuable RS2 that comes from unmodified potato starch granules.
The clean water is returned to the reservoir to continue giving life to surrounding crops, creating an operational loop in perpetuity.
Solnul™ is then sold to science-forward brands to elevate their supplement and functional food products so the benefits of resistant starch can reach the greatest number of people and the ingredient can reach its highest potential.

Solnul™ is an Upcycled Certified™ ingredient (UI) after meeting the rigorous standards set forth by the Upcycled Certified™ Program Standards Committee with oversight by the Upcycled Foods Association. The certification allows Solnul™ customers to expedite their own application for Product with Upcycled Certified™ Ingredients (PUI) when formulations contain at least 10% of Solnul™.
